A PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Almighty Father, we humbly come before you as we intercede for our nation, the Philippines.
What happened to the Kingdom of Jesus Christ on June 10, 2024 when its religious compounds were simultaneously attacked by violent police forces is a reflection that there are forces of darkness that seek to destroy and divide us.
We recognize the need for spiritual deliverance.
We pray for the leaders – from the national to local level, appointed and elected – that they may be endowed with wisdom to govern according to Your will.
We trust in You, Father, that they will be given the heart to set aside personal interests for the greater good of all the people they serve.
We also ask for the spirit of discernment upon our policemen, military and other uniformed personnel – the protectors of the State.
Implant in their hearts a moral compass to discern right and wrong, identify what is lawful or unlawful.
Grant them courage to resist blind obedience; the boldness to reject unjust or unethical directives, when obedience to authority conflicts with the principles of law and morality.
Almighty Father, we thank you for choosing our nation to establish your Kingdom here on earth and calling one from among us to be your Appointed Son, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.
We thank you for the promise of restoration and renewal.
We ask your protection over the Philippines: shield us from harm and danger, the threats of war, and cover us with peace that passes all understanding.
We also pray for healing and reconciliation among communities that have been torn apart by distrust and animosity.
We pray that the walls of prejudice and hatred will be broken down. We pray that fear and suspicion will be replaced with love and solidarity.
Father, we plead for justice to prevail in our nation.
We pray that all Filipinos will be enlightened to recognize that Your Kingdom has come and a total spiritual transformation is about to take place.
You alone, O God, can heal our land.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
