SMNI Foundation, Inc. Sends Love and Help to the Earthquake-Stricken City of Cebu

On September 30, 2025, a powerful magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck the province of Cebu, shaking the grounds of Bogo City and nearby areas. The tremor caused widespread destruction—homes, properties, and establishments were reduced to rubble. Several lives were lost, and nearly 600 individuals sustained injuries.

Among the most affected were the communities of Daanbantayan, San Remigio, and Tabogon, where countless families were displaced, their homes destroyed, and their livelihoods disrupted. Yet even amid devastation, the indomitable spirit of the Cebuano people remained strong.

In the face of such tragedy, the Filipino spirit of unity and love continues to shine. Rising with faith and courage, our brethren in Cebu found renewed hope through the unwavering efforts of SMNI Foundation, Inc., guided by the leadership and love of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.

Moved by his vision of selfless giving, the Foundation immediately launched a three-day relief operation to bring aid and comfort to the hardest-hit towns. Thousands of Cebuanos—entire families—received food, water, and essential supplies that brought light to their darkest days.

Through the initiative of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy and the generosity of donors who responded to his call for compassion, hundreds of sacks of rice, jugs of clean drinking water, buckets of food, and other necessities poured into the affected areas.

Joining this humanitarian mission was Banateros’ host, Darwin Salcedo, known as Boss Dada, whose presence brought smiles, laughter, and encouragement to the survivors. The people’s heartfelt gratitude was deeply moving—residents lined up with tears and smiles, dancing with joy as they received their much-needed relief.

Their expressions of thanks reflected more than just appreciation; they were a testament to how kindness and love can heal even the deepest wounds.

Though the earthquake cast a shadow of fear and sorrow over Cebu, it could not dim the light of faith and hope that continues to shine in every heart. Through the compassion and leadership of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, SMNI Foundation, Inc. has once again proven that no disaster can stop the mission of extending love, restoring hope, and uplifting lives.
