Tithes and Offerings

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity:

for God loveth a cheerful giver.

(2 Corinthians 9:7)

Deuteronomy 28:1-14 promises blessings to those who faithfully abide by the Father’s spiritual statutes. One of His commandments is to faithfully return our Tithes and Offerings (Malachi 3:10, Luke 6:38). 

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Malachi 3:10

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Luke 6:38

Giving doesn’t only apply in the Old Testament, contrary to popular belief that this commandment is outdated and obsolete. The truth is, the terms of the agreement are still relevant up to this day. When we faithfully give our tithes, we acknowledge Him as the fountain of our blessings and the source of our bountiful provision. The rewards for unconditional obedience are clear: You will be blessed wherever you go.

Our attitude towards giving should be voluntary. We are not compelled to give out of our sense of duty, but out of love in our hearts because the Father loves a cheerful giver ( 2 Corinthians 9:7)
