December 21, 2024
United for a Greener Tomorrow
On December 21, 2024, people from all over the Philippines came together to care for the environment. Led by Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy and the Sonshine Philippines Movement, the “One Tree, One Nation” tree planting event brought volunteers from different places to work for a greener future. It was a big effort to help solve the country’s environmental problems.
Hundreds of volunteers joined the event, planting trees and helping restore the land. It wasn’t just about planting—it showed how much people can do when they come together to protect nature and build a better future. The teamwork and shared purpose made the day even more meaningful.
The activity is part of a larger movement led by Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy to inspire everyone to care for the environment. Alongside the tree planting, volunteers also took part in the “Kalinisan, Tatag ng Bayan” campaign, a cleanliness drive aimed at keeping communities clean and healthy. These efforts show that even small actions can create lasting change when done together.
Every tree planted and every cleanup effort helps build a cleaner and greener future for the next generations. These activities remind everyone that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility. Together, Filipinos are taking steps to make the country a better, greener place for all.
CALABARZON REGION – NOVELETA, CAVITE
The Power of Prayer: A Community United for a Cleaner Future
The nationwide cleanliness drive held on December 21 in Brgy. San Antonio I, Noveleta, Cavite, began with a heartfelt prayer led by the volunteers of the Sonshine Philippines Movement (SPM). Armed with brooms, sacks, and other cleaning tools, hundreds of volunteers were ready to take part in the “Kalinisan, Tatag ng Bayan” campaign, an initiative spearheaded by Senatorial aspirant and KOJC leader, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.
Joining the drive were senior citizens, members of the Keepers Club International, local residents, and barangay officials, all united by a shared goal of creating a cleaner and healthier community. The program, which Pastor Apollo first launched in 2005, has become a nationwide effort to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
Brgy. San Antonio I, one of the areas severely affected by Typhoon Kristine, was a fitting location for this initiative. The storm had left piles of debris that clogged canals, estuaries, and rivers, contributing to flooding and environmental damage. Through the collaborative efforts of volunteers and local groups, the cleanup helped restore the area and prevent further issues caused by waste buildup.
In recognition of their participation, local officials and organizations received certificates of appreciation for their commitment to the campaign. The “Kalinisan, Tatag ng Bayan” drive not only addressed immediate environmental concerns but also inspired communities to continue working together for a cleaner and stronger nation.
This initiative, driven by Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy’s vision, reminds everyone that small, united efforts can lead to significant, lasting change for the betterment of society and the environment.
