THE BLESSINGS OF CORRECTIONS

THE FATHER’S LOVING HAND OF CORRECTION

One of the greatest blessings a loving Father can provide for His children is to correct them. Correction is the highest kind of love the Father can give us.

Each of us was born with a stubborn, proud, and rebellious nature, and the heavenly Father wants us to share in His divine nature through correction, discipline, and reproof.

Proverbs 3:11-12, this is what it says,
“11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; Neither be weary of his correction.”
“12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

This is Lucifer’s weakness. When he was corrected, he rebelled against God. Why? What was the reason for his downfall? Pride. He doesn’t want to be corrected.

God is God; He loves us, and He will correct us.

When you are corrected, that means He loves you very much and delights in you because He wants you to be like His image. That is how loving our God is.

Do not despise the chastening of the Lord. This means do not take lightly or ignore when the Father points out your mistakes—do not hate correction.

Proverbs 10:17,
“He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.”

Proverbs 15:10,
“Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.”

Correction is grievous unto them that forsaketh the way. The will of the Father’s correction is grievous. And he that hateth reproof shall die.

Proverbs 19:20,
“Hear counsel, and receive instruction, That thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. There are many devices in a man’s heart; Nevertheless, the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.”

Hear counsel, when somebody counsels and receives instruction. That thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

You’ll be wise, you’ll be a good leader.

I am guiding spirituality by looking at these words and living these words in our daily lives.

When you become a finished product and your processing is completed, you will stand as a spiritual person. You have been able to conquer the carnality of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life; the Father can use you everywhere you go. The world is yours and the work that He has entrusted to your hands.

THE REPROOF IS HURTFUL, BUT IT HEALS

To be engaged in His spiritual business on earth, embracing rebuke and reproof, do not resent it.

Those who receive rebuke are wise. Those who reject it are foolish.

Proverbs 15:32,
“He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.”

When you hear reproof, when you are being rebuked or you are being corrected, and you hear it, that is how to gain understanding. But if you despise it, it is for the destruction of your soul.

Proverbs 29:1,
“He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.”

The reproof is hurtful, but it heals. It takes humility to receive reproof and criticism.

Proverbs 15:33,
The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

CORRECTING MISTAKES IS PART OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND MATURITY

Like a Potter, the Father is willing to restore us when we have committed mistakes in our spiritual highway toward becoming a son.

When you are corrected for your mistakes, that is part of your spiritual growth and maturity. That is the discipline the Father wanted in us because when we go to heaven, we shall shine like gold without spots, wrinkles, or blemishes.

This is where the others failed because they did not understand this. They did not become spiritual. They still have their carnal and natural mind. Their understanding of the things of the Father becomes so carnal that they cannot be recipients of this spiritual knowledge and understanding that God wants them to have.

If you want to become sons and daughters of God who will live with Him forever, you have to undergo this. This is one of the positive fires that you have to undergo, and when you are an overcomer, you can overcome. Then you will inherit all things, just like me.

SUBMISSION AND HUMILITY

Our attitude towards correction must be one of submission and humility. Let’s submit ourselves to the potter’s hand.

Do not fight against the potter. Do not resent because He knows what He is doing in molding you.

Let us read Isaiah 64:8 and Romans 9:20-21

Isaiah 64:8,
“But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Romans 9:20-21,
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Learn from your mistakes and keep going. Do not keep on repeating those mistakes.

“And do not deny your mistakes.” 1 Corinthians 10:12.

We learn a lesson from our mistakes, but do not repeat those mistakes that you have committed because you have to move on.

Experience is the best. When you commit a mistake, don’t cover it, make an account of it, and then move on and repent of it.

Don’t be ashamed to commit mistakes because as we grow, we keep committing mistakes, but not willfully. Those will make you learn a lesson, and you move on to maturity.

Proverbs 24:16,
“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.”

You can teach others because of the lessons you’ve learned from your experiences that have given you that wisdom. You can be used by the Almighty Father for His spiritual business in saving souls and leading them to where you were led.

THE GREATER THE KNOWLEDGE, THE GREATER THE RESPONSIBILITY

Let the processing of the Father happen in us until we become a finished product, and then He can let us go. He can use us wherever He wants to use us. We will never fall, and we will be an instrument of honor and glory unto Him.

Big sins come from small mistakes. Do not let those mistakes stand uncorrected.

Whenever there is a mistake, your tutor will correct you. Submit under that instruction and reproof, and then be humble, and the Father will bless you once you do that.

Once we have known the truth, we have a greater responsibility to correct what is not according to the Will of the Father.

The greater your knowledge about the Will of the Father, the greater your responsibility.

James 4:17:
“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

Luke 16:10
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.”

This is what the Father has embossed upon us.

He loves us so much that He gave us His blessings of corrections.

So that these teachings can solidify in us and we can become loyal, committed, dedicated, and obedient always in our lives as children, sons, and daughters of the Almighty Father.

The Almighty Father will pour every blessing into our hands because He can trust us. Because we have matured. Because we have gone under those – under the baptism of fire.

Let us always abide in the goodness of the Almighty Father.

When we follow Him, let’s make our decision permanent and final, “My heart is fixed. My mind is made up. I will follow the Father’s Will no matter what.”

Praise the Father!

In the Kingdom, we have the blessings of discipline and correction, and will continue to do so because this is the greatest sign of His love towards us.

May the Father bless you, my brothers and sisters.
