Love: The Law of Heaven’s Court of Justice
In the Old Testament type of redemption, the Israelites offered something for the propitiation of their sins. It is by the shedding of blood that their sins were forgiven for a year. And what they offered were the blood of the animals, like bullocks, like sheep, and so forth. That was how the propitiation for sins was done for the forgiveness of the people’s sins for that year. That was the shadow of the things to come.
The New Testament (also referred to as the New Covenant and the New Agreement) involves the great compassion and love of God that is not present in our worldly court system. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
So, when He gave Jesus Christ to give us His words of reconciliation, the devil did not like that. Because in salvation, there are these two enemies in the spirit – the Spirit of the Almighty Father and the spirit of Satan Lucifer the Devil.
The devil is the prince of this world. He is the total prince of darkness, putting us into darkness for deception. So that when we die, we will go to hell together with him and he won’t be so miserable going to hell alone. That is in the spiritual.
When Jesus Christ came, He wanted that we will surrender our own human will to Him, not by force, not by power, not by might. That’s why He said, “It’s not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of the Lord.” (Zechariah 4:6)
So, when He came, He used the greatest force on earth which is Divine Love and compassion.
We read of this kind of love in 1 Corinthians 13:1, “Now remaineth these three, faith, hope, and love and the greatest of these is love.”
Now, when people come to Jesus Christ to offer their lives to Him as He offered His life to us, what was the mediating factor? This is what He says, “We love Him because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)
The Father doesn’t want us to serve Him with the slavish fear of being killed if we will not follow Him. He used the greatest force on earth, which is greater than all the millions of TNT combined, which when exploded, will destroy humanity. He used Divine Love.
John 3:16 tells us about this. “For God so loved the world that He gave His Begotten Son…” (John 3:16)
That love in Calvary, which was demonstrated in the forgiveness of our sins, is what converted me. The Almighty Father did not use His might, or His power as God to make us tremble, and not change man from the inside. The Father wants us to change from within first.
That is what salvation is about, the changing of the power that governs us from within. It is very hard to surrender the human will because that is you, that is the god inside you, and that is your pride.
I surrendered my life when I saw that He loves me. I love Him because He first loved me. It was love that converted me to Him. I gave my life to Him the way He gave His life to me because the mediating factor within is LOVE. This is what is meant by, “We love Him because he first loved us.” (John 4:19)
Without love, this world is nothing. Without love, you are nothing.
That is what this ministry is about, and the law of this ministry is the law of Love. God is Love. (1 John 4:8)
There are many other verses that speak about this kind of love:
“Love one another, that the world may know that you are my disciples.” (John 13:35)
“Love God with all your heart, with all your strength, with all your might, with all your spirit.” (Mark 12:30)
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12:31)
The law of love is not found in the court system of this world. In fact, the court system of this world is sometimes being used by the devil for injustice. In the law of love, I was a sinner, I was guilty, but He came. We were faulty, but Jesus Christ took all our faults, and He crucified them on the cross because of love.
