Your Work will be tried so as by Fire
Many people ask me, how did I survive the fire? Did I blame my persecutors? Did I blame those people who hurt me a lot? Did I blame those who maligned me?
No, I did not. Because I know it was the fire trying me. It was for my own good. Instead, I humbled myself, telling myself that “This is the Father’s Will.”
Our Almighty Father, our Jesus Christ, is the Owner of Salvation. He suffered more than all of us. He was maligned and persecuted. Not only that. They arrested Him, they put a crown of thorns on His head, they nailed Him on the cross, they tied Him to the scourging post, and there were many, many wounds on His back. Shame here and there. He was all alone.
But He did not blame anyone. He did not despise anyone. He went through that fire, and said, “Father, let this cup pass from me. But if it is Your Will, Your Will be done.”
The Father said, “You have to go through that. That is the Baptism of Fire.” The apostles did the same. When He called me, I did not have those hardships as the Lord did, but it was the same fire that tried me.
The Word of God says that “Your work will be tried so as by fire.” If your work that is on this foundation will be burned, you’ll suffer loss. But you yourself will be saved, so as by fire.
When you are able to pass this test, you become an overcomer.
You will go to that third level of spiritual growth and become a son or a daughter.
As the Word of God says, “This is my beloved Son, this is my beloved daughter in whom I am well-pleased.” (Matthew 3:17)
So, if your aim here is to go to Heaven, do not get offended. Do not get offended by the cross. Do not get offended by the crown of thorns. Do not get offended by persecution, by false accusations.
Even if you are doing good, you will still be given a fault, to try you. Even if it is not your fault, you will still be held accountable for it. When that happens, you will become like Jesus Christ, in fulfillment of Galatians 2:20.
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
That’s why you were given a model, a finished product, and that is the Appointed Son of God. Do not look unto others because you will be offended because some of them are also going through the fire. Everyone is going through the fire.
If you are tempted to look at others, look at the Appointed Son because I also went through that. What was my reaction in Tamayong? Father, not my will, but Thy will be done, no matter what.
The most important thing is to become a son or daughter of the Father by being spiritual in obedience to His will.
The fire will reveal who you are.
