20 Years of Celebrating the Declaration of the Sonship to the World

The entire Kingdom Nation celebrates as it looks back to the day when the Almighty Father declared Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy as His Appointed Son to the world, a revelation that shook the entire Christendom.

September 13, 2003, is a date forever recorded in the Annals of Kingdom History, marking the day when the Son’s sonship ceased to be between him and the Almighty Father only to a revelation known to every being on Earth.

The Father proudly presented him as the finished product, “This is My Son,” because, in all the hardships and temptations thrown at him during his intense spiritual training in the Mountain of Affliction for five long years, he did not leave the Father in following His Will.

Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Hebrews 5:8

He was put in the highest position that anybody could ever dream of – seated upon the Father’s throne, with all the accolades and attributes that people bestowed upon the Father now bestowed upon him.

The Son’s Sonship implies that the way we treat the Father is the same way we treat the Son. As we love the Father, so we love the Son. What respect we have given Him, the same shall be given to His Son.

From the single seed that was declared, “Now, you are My Son,” millions of finished products have now been produced, all fashioned in the very image of the One who sent him. When one becomes a son, he inherits everything. When the Father let the Son ascend to the level of Sonship, he inherited everything that the Father has.

Revelation 21:7 is fulfilled: “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” He inherited the properties of the Father, the Son of God in the Jewish setting.

Coming into the level of Sonship means that there is now an authority in expressing the rule of the Father on earth. Today, the world is measured by the standard that the Father declared to the world 20 years ago- the Appointed Son of God.

On this 20th Anniversary of the declaration of the Son’s Sonship to the world, the Kingdom Nation celebrates the triumph of the Son in producing more sons and daughters who are completely free to do the Father’s complete and perfect Will through the only message that the world needs to hear in these last days—the message of genuine repentance and obedience to the Father’s Will.

Why is it necessary for the Appointed Son to come?

To understand the storyline of salvation, it is necessary to learn about the three sons.

  • The Created Son
  • The Begotten Son
  • The Appointed son

Adam received his sonship by creation. He was formed from the dust of the ground, breathed in his nostrils the breath of life, and the Word of God says, man became a living soul (Gen 1:7).

The very purpose God created man was to make him His residence, the dwelling place of His spirit, His body. For this to happen, man must be implanted with the Father’s righteous spirit.

Adam’s mission was Sonship and dominion over the Father’s creation. But the first man, using his freedom of choice, failed when he disobeyed God. Disobedience led him to lose his Sonship and the Kingship.

But the Almighty Father wanted to take back His creation. He wanted to save man from the serpent seed, and so He sent His Begotten Son.

Jesus Christ is the Begotten Son in the Jewish Setting. The Father decided that He would send a model of what He wanted to do for man. He is the Word made flesh (John 1:1, 14), which means God became man.

Why is He called begotten? It is because He was born of a woman, a human being, and of the Spirit of the Almighty Father. He is the second Adam.

Is Jesus Christ the Begotten Son forever?

When an heir was finally produced, His Sonship ended and He assumed the position of the Father. Contrary to the Church Age belief that He is the Eternal Son, Jesus Christ was the Begotten Son only until His mission was accomplished.

What is the mission of the Begotten Son?

He came to redeem the Sonship and the Kingship which Adam lost at the Garden of Eden. Thus, in the Jewish setting, Jesus Christ is the Begotten Son in redemption.

The Begotten Son was also tempted, but unlike the first Created Son, He did not succumb to the devil’s temptations (Matt. 4:1-11, Luke 4:1-13). Because of His obedience to the plan of God, Satan became powerless. Jesus Christ was able to restore the Sonship and the Kingship.

When He said, “It is finished” (John 19:30), He was able to complete the mission of redemption.

While on the cross, He saw His seed (Isaiah 53:10), the heir that would be the embodiment of His life. After redeeming and returning what were lost to the heir who is now His son, He is no longer known as the Begotten Son of God, but as the Almighty Father. He has to give it back to the rightful heir, but Adam doesn’t exist anymore, so it has to be given to his progeny–anyone from the fallen Adamic race.

Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy is the firstborn Son in the spirit of obedience to the Father’s Will, the firstborn to be the model of salvation for the fallen Adamic race to follow. That is why he is called appointed because he came from the fallen Adamic race whose parents are both human beings. He bears the exact DNA of the Almighty Father and the New Jerusalem whose spirit says, “Not my will but Yours be done,” which is the seed of righteousness.

What is the mission of the Appointed Son?

The Son is here to inherit all things that the Father has. He is the heir to whom the Sonship and the Kingship, which were taken from the hands of the devil, were turned over. He is the first in the Fallen Adamic Race who was implanted with the righteous seed by repentance. He is the one who “overcometh” (Rev. 21:7) for eradicating the serpent seed in his life through the process of spiritual birth, spiritual growth, and spiritual adoption.

What is a Son?

A son is a body where the spirit of the Almighty Father dwells. It is also called His temple, tabernacle, church, heaven, or residence.

Why does the Father need a body?

It is because the Father is a spirit, and as a spirit, He can only manifest His will and His righteousness using a body.

The Son is the manifestation of the unseen Father (John 14:9, Colossians 2:9).

The Son is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the door (John 14:6; 10:9).

The Son will destroy the works of the flesh (1 John 3:8).

The Son came to bring life (John 10:10, 1 John 5:11-12).

The Son is the Savior of the world (1 John 4:14).

The Son is the judge of the living, the measure and the standard of the Father for humanity (John 5:22-23, Matthew11:27).

What is Sonship?

Sonship is the Father’s unconditional love. In the Sonship, the Father has given and shown us the unconditional love that He has for mankind. This unconditional, unreserved love is displayed even to the point that He died on the cross for our sins.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

What does the Father demand from us in His Sonship?

He expects us to truly repent and surrender. His love or the blood of Christ will not have an effect on us except we surrender. This means we must repent if we want to enter into this relationship.

When we enter into this relationship, it is not enough for us to confess His love or to confess that He is our Savior. First of all, when we accept that love, we have to repent and surrender our own will, so that His Will shall be done in our lives. When we enter into this relationship of love, we become sons or daughters and He becomes the Father.

The Sonship is the Salvation Works of the Father to Humanity. It is in His Sonship that we see the compassion; we see the love; we see the Father following us, trying to convince us and to let us know what compassion is and what love is all about. Once we get in because of His goodness and kindness, then the Father will let us grow in the spirit by going through the process — from Infancy to Son Accountable to Son Placement.

The Father-and-Son relationship is a relationship that is inviolable. Only the Father knows the Son, and only the Son knows the Father, as Matthew 11:27 says:

“All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.”

This relationship means that what we feel about the Son is what we feel about the Father. So, we have to cast away our personal or physical knowledge of who we are. We are not focused on who we are but on who He is, how He feels, and how He thinks. This is the whole meaning of “not my will but Your Will be done.”

What displeases the Son displeases the Father because the Son is the residence of the Father’s spirit, His audible voice.

Can there be true salvation without the Son?

Apart from the Son, there can be no true salvation. Unless the Son is produced, the Father’s purpose from the very beginning to dwell in man cannot be accomplished. It is only when He is able to produce one from the Fallen Adamic Race that man can be restored to that purpose. When the Father’s spirit is implanted in man, that is salvation; that is when man’s communion and fellowship with the Father is restored.
