Mahal na mahal ka namin,’ as they lined up to receive gifts, food, and toys during Pastor Apollo’s birthday celebration at the KJC compound, coinciding with the annual International Children’s Day. This event, hailed as the grandest birthday celebration for all children, has been Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy’s mission every April 25: to bring joyous smiles to the faces of children regardless of culture, race, or socioeconomic status.

There is no greater joy than celebrating one’s birthday. For kids, it is something they cannot afford to miss out on. But not all children are fortunate enough to experience a decent meal for their day-to-day subsistence, let alone a festive party on their birthday. For this reason, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy has officially made April 25, an adopted birthday for all children, making it every child’s most-awaited day of the year.

Today, April 25, is a very special day that exudes an exuberant vibe for the children as they throng the KJC compound to witness what a birthday party is all about. Pastor Apollo tends to gravitate to the less fortunate as they are the ones who have the least opportunity to enjoy the simple joys of life.

Seeing the underprivileged kids getting the best treatment on their birthday often evokes poignant memories of Pastor Apollo’s childhood, for which he first got a taste of random kindness from a stranger that he would never forget. That event played a seminal role in his becoming a philanthropist years later for that’s how the virtue of unconditional giving was germinated and taken root in his heart.

Pure happiness cannot be concealed for the young celebrators as they lavishly indulge in a surfeit of food and other goodies. Traces of genuine joy can truly be found in a child’s countenance as they get their share of delectable meals and toys.
