LET GOD BE THE SOURCE

WE CAN’T HANDLE IT ALL ON OUR OWN

My brothers and sisters, there are problems we can handle on our own, which we don’t necessarily need to talk to God about. We have certain abilities God has given us, like putting on our shoes or cooking when we’re hungry.

But we should go to God whenever there are problems we simply cannot solve ourselves, problems our friends can’t even help us with. In those situations, only God can help you.

The Bible says, “He will supply it. He will answer because He is your source.” This is one source that never fails, as recorded in Philippians 4:19:

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

“My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.” Do you know what that means? It means He will match whatever you need. If your need requires God to give you a billion, He will supply that if it’s truly what you need. It’s very reassuring!

His riches are inexhaustible, unending, and unfathomable. It’s like fetching water from the ocean. Would you only bring a small cup because you’re ashamed to take too much, fearing it might run dry? If the ocean is God’s blessing, you better get a water pump that runs day and night, and it still won’t exhaust the riches of God. That’s how rich our God the Father is. He is the one source that never fails.

IN SUCCESS AND IN DESPAIR

If you’re endeavoring to reach the heights of success, you can’t reach that alone. You will eventually break down. Do you think you can carry the weight of that burden or vision on your shoulders? Halfway through, you might find you can’t do it. Then, you may start feeling stressed because there’s too much pressure in your life, and you’re buckling under it.

This is the time for you to recharge. Go to God.

There are times when we are in desperate need, and we go to Him saying, “Lord, my personal life is in shambles. I don’t know what happened. My life is so tangled, I can’t untangle it. I want You to help me. I want You to give me new direction.”

When you fail to go to God and ask for His help, you can find yourself in a big mess with no seeming way out. The next thing you feel is hopelessness. That’s when you want to give up because life feels meaningless.

When tragedies like these strike, the destructive force of the devil, who wants to destroy your soul, will rejoice. The Lord doesn’t want that to happen to you.

So, anytime there’s a burden in your life and you feel like you’re buckling under the pressure, don’t forget that God’s method is for you to ask, and the source is God. He is the greatest source that never fails.

THE BEST TIME TO PRAY

The way to go to God is very simple. If you have a room where you can be alone, I suggest you go to Him when everybody else is fast asleep. That’s typically between 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock in the morning.

Do you know that thieves, robbers, and evil people go out at those hours? That’s because your slumber is so deep that you wouldn’t wake up even if they stepped on you.

That’s also the best time to come to the Lord and pray to Him. Just you and Him, without any distraction. I assure you, I’m speaking from experience.

ALWAYS ASK FOR GUIDANCE

When something is entrusted to us, we must always ask for His guidance. He knows where to put this ministry, but He’s not working on Earth alone. He’s working with us, of course, because we are His body; we do the work. He didn’t send angels to do the work. He didn’t send angels to carry our burdens. He didn’t send angels to always guide us and teach us what to do every day, even the mundane things of life.

That’s not God’s method, and that’s not God’s plan. God’s plan is for us to be imbibed with all the wisdom that comes from Him so that we can do the things He expects us to do.

GOD IS NOT STINGY

God is not stingy with His blessings. God holds out His hands and says, “Take what you need.” You might say, “Oh Lord, I don’t need this; You’ve already supplied my need.” But God tells you, “Help yourself.”

GOD IS A LOVING FATHER

People aren’t always willing to give. But the word “shall” in James 1:5 is absolute. God is able, and God is willing. He said, “It shall be given him.” That “shall” implies a future tense, meaning anytime you go to Him in the future, the Lord is there waiting for you.

This is how I see our Father in heaven, and this is what many people don’t know about Him. We were taught in religion that God is an old guy in heaven holding a big stick, and when you make mistakes, that stick will just drop on your head.

But when you go to God, you’ll find out He is totally different from the God projected by religion or whoever. God is a loving God.
