The month of August was packed with a series of electrifying events as thousands of Overseas Filipino Workers in Malaysia participated in its annual 7th Young and Adult Camp- an OFW Olympics held at the Sports Arena at United Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia.

The said event was attended by OFW Partylist Representative, Congresswoman Marissa del Magsino, Migrant Workers Office Labor Attache, Ms.Teresa Lourdes Pimentel, Defense Attache, Col. Joel Lobitana from the Philippine Embassy, and OWWA Administrator, Mr. Arnel Ignacio.

Also joining them is the Kingdom Asia Pacific Administrator, Sis. Nelida Lizada, and some Kingdom coordinators from the Asia Pacific Region. The said Olympics was divided into nine teams, namely: Northwest and Southeast Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Melaka, North and South Penang, West and East Johor, and Cyberjaya.

The participants of the said event had a rollicking good time in showcasing their talents from the choir to the power dance competition. There was also a slugfest of sports that ranged from basketball to volleyball that truly energized the different teams. The Olympics took a curtain call with a smashing success as the participants did not just enjoy the entire duration of the event, but also learned the art of sportsmanship and sense of camaraderie.
